Scraptures Project

Here is the project I made for the 8th anniversary challenge at Scrap-tures. I used last years release of BoBunny's winter collection...very fun colour combo. The large die cut snow fakes are a punch by Marvy purchased from Michaels, the clear acrylic snowflakes are purchased from Avon (yes that is weird) and the blue ones are a gift from Chelle at Scrap-tures (so pretty) The wood (hence the 8th anniversary gift) shadow box frame is from Dollarama and painted white. Paper strips were added to frame the wood and then embellished.

Here is just a little peak at what I have created for Scrap-tures Anniversary Challenge happening this month. On the 6th anniversary the traditional gift is wood....can't say any more...check out the blog on the 6th of January for the reveal. :)

Welcome to a brand new year!

January 2011 is a special month here at Scrap~tures – we’re one year old! Thanks to your support and participation we’ve had a great first year and want to show our gratitude by celebrating all month long with games, prizes, a blog hop, AVATAR challenges and lots of inspiration and fun!!

We have been working hard behind the scenes to provide inspirational challenges, based on “traditional” anniversary gift lists, that will run all month long. For every challenge that you complete (and post in the particular challenge thread AND note in your “birthday book” (master challenge list thread) you can count a candle! Yes, that’s right, for every challenge you complete, you can take the little candle blinkie to put in your siggie line! How fun (and cute) is that? (and that's the answer to "why all the candles?"

AND!! if that isn’t enough, we’re going to have an ANNIVERSARY CROP the weekend of January 21, 22 and 23 so mark your calendars and invite your friends! The crop challenges will start with an early bird challenge (you’ll love it, I guarantee it ;-) ) on Friday at noon and go all weekend long.

The crop will give you many opportunities to gather more candles for your birthday book. Not to worry though, at the end of the month, we’ll give you some time to “catch your breath” and catch up with more candles if you want!!

Why all the candles??? Because, February 1, we will announce our Anniversary Prize Winners! Yes plural!! There will be a grand prize and two runner-up prizes. Denise will be announcing how you can be eligible for the prizes so stay tuned and in the meantime, collect those candles!

Come to the party and be ready to meet some “old” friends of ours who are celebrating with us this month and some of you will be surprised I'm sure by "who" you see....

I'm so excited!!!!

I am a guest designer at Scrap-tures Kit Club for January!! I've received my kit and I have to admit I was very impressed with the contents and then the wheels started turning....looking forward to playing with my goodies tomorrow. This is the link to their site.

More December photos, these are a few of them that will make it into my December Daily Mini Album. I have no idea how I'm going to do this for the project 365....

Olivia and I went shopping tonight, all night, we got home late. We had fun....picked up these wonderful cushions for my new couch and love seat....I like them. A little on the white side compared to the tarnished look of the room but I'm sure they won't stay like that....

Josh opening up one of his advent calendar days. Lego is wonderful.

Christmas decorations in my house, I think I have 3 of them up plus the tree this year. Just didn't feel like all the clutter so they stayed in boxes and only a handful made it out.

The morning after the night before....LOL....what a stinkin mess! It's a little better now but not by much.

Baking! Too bad they are all gone and Christmas isn't even here yet....better get back in there.

All snug in MY bed! Rotten kids...LOL I love it they just snuggle right in.

We named our elf - Elfy - yes very original but it works. The kids love looking for the clever little guy in the morning....so do I on some mornings....LOL.

That's it for now! Michaels has some really good coupons right now! 50% off everyday this week....I've been there three times and it's only Monday! Picked up some yummy stuff to play with next week...can't wait!!
