So sad the weekend is over

I just love to piddle, I was home all weekend (except for the short trip to Costco to pick up some pictures) and I loved it! I managed to get so much done, feels so good. I need to do soooo many things still to get ready for Christmas and I didn't do a single Christmas chore this weekend! All well, there's always tomorrow. I did mange to get the laundry completely caught up - a pretty decent accomplishment for me.....maybe 12 loads?!

So I read the story to my son and he is so into it. He wakes in the morning and "Elfy" is the first thing on his mind....where's the elf mom? The elf will sit in a different spot when it returns back to your home after reporting to Santa durning the night. We have found Elfy in a few different spots so far. My son loves this little guy!

I'm having one of those working mom days

You know the ones.....when you feel like the best thing for you and your family is to be at home, but you have a full time job and you have to go to work. I hate those feelings and try really hard to think of something happy so I don't have to paddle around in the sea of guilt. It's Tuesday and today was much like yesterday when I really felt I should be at home parenting my child instead of paying someone to do it for me. I wish I could work part-time, the would be the best of both worlds. Maybe I just need a vacation to be at home.....I think that's what it is. I'm on vacation very soon for two wonderful weeks.....sooooo looking forward to it!

I cleaned my room!

Boy was it a mess! My table had mountains of stuff on it, it's a no wonder I couldn't find my scissors!!

I did scrapbook my wedding album quite some time ago, actually it was the second album I ever created. I think I'm going to pull out some more pictures of that day in July and do a few more just because I've changed so much (so has scrapbooking actually) and I think it will be fun!!

I finally received my Karen Foster advent calendars, very cute things, a little small than what I thought they were going to be but otherwise really good quality. Plain white then you decorate them, this is what I did....one for my son (green sides) and the other for my daughter (rose sides)

I thought it was Pizza day so I didn't pack him a sandwich, but it wasn't pizza day it's next week....ooops....sorry Josh. At least he had other stuff in there to eat...fruit, cookies, juice. Sometimes I have a hard time thinking of things to pack on his lunch, seems like the same old thing, salmon, ham, salmon, ham - sounds like the same ole thing to me. I don't like him to eat too much deli meat but struggle for alternatives.

I finished this layout and spellet (ha) the title wrong. There are two G's in frogging, I thought so but only put one because that's all that would fit. Then dh said to add a G so I squished them together !!

digi stuff

So I'm wanting to get right into this digi stuff and it's killing me !! So much to learn first, my PSE class is every Tuesday and I'm really enjoying it, learning new stuff and the instructor is so knowledgeable it's really nice to talk with him. I'm really lucky.....I work with instructors too so I pick their brain when I need to know something.....but you don't know what you don't know.

AC Bailey Cram Session

If you don't have a ton of plans this weekend you really need to get your butt into the ACB forum and have some fun. The DT members have a ton of activities for all the members and it's too much fun !! All of the girls who participate are just great and easy to get along with. We are having all this fun while Erica and Lisa sift through all the DT applicants to find 3 more! Good luck girls there's a lot of stuff in there !!

Friends and Family

I made this little thing, don't know what it's really called but I wanted something fun to post all of our pictures we receive from friends and family. This is an old wooden frame I had purchased a while ago from Ikea and now has a new home. Painted the frame added some scraps from the bin and tada!! a new recycled item made new again !!

I made these darling little gift tags from packaging. I bought buttons from the dollar store and tied some ribbon around them and added a piece of the packaging from a paper pack I just bought and vlioa!! Used some scrap paper in some too. Took a pic beside a pop can so you could see the size of them.

I enrolled in Photo Shoppe again, hopefully they don't cancel it. I'm so excited to take this course !! I do have a back up plan as well, but I don't know if I can get into it. A day school program has a really cool course on web pages, digital design and blogs, that would be so awesome but they are both on the same night ! So at least if one is cancelled I can try for the other one.

Kids are back to school, nice to get back in routine. I'm really excited about the "normal" bed time again - holy smokes ! That was getting a little out of hand.

Still have scrapbooking on the brain as usual, wish I could quite my full time job and scrapbook full time. The pay's not the same though. For me anyway, not really sure about Becky Higgins!!

A week of vacation

It's been a really nice week so far, it's Thursday and the kids and I stayed in our jammies until noon today, gotta have those days. Then we went to the post office to pick up my order from Life Preservers Scrapbook Club, my first one and the kit is totally awesome. I'm not sure what happened though, the box was terribly damaged and my container for the chipboard trees from Maya Road it so crushed I can't even open it up. I'll have to ask my neighbour (who works for the post office) what I should do about that.
My legs are killing me !! I think I had too much exercise at Wild Waterworks yesterday. What a place that was.....the kids had a blast. I'll have to post some pics.

So happy to be home after a busy weekend, oops Olivia is awake, it's 11:20pm and it's so warm in the house tonight I can't stand it-so I'll sit in the basement for a while and poke around at my favorite sites !!
I took some great pictures of the boys tonight at my sister's house, I'm going to post them and then scrapbook them, I can't wait !!!

The technology is just too much

I really need someone to sit down with me to expain what the heck I'm doing. Some times I feel like I have some kind of control over the technology I know and then something happens and I really wonder what in the heck don't I know. Fortunatly I work for a company that has technology at our finger tips. I have many instructors to which I can email or meet for coffee to discuss any issue bugging me. I wish I knew what I don't know. But I don't have time to find out what it is I don't know.....I know someone will follow that sentence.
